Husband's Home Office

Hey again friends,
Two blog posts in a row! This is a miracle! Miracles are happening all around here for sure!

Thanks for checking out our new grown up dining room yesterday. Today I wanted to share with you a room that got relocated over 6 months ago and I never shared it with you. My husband's home office used to be located over the garage in a very large space upstairs. He had the brainstorm to relocate it right off of our kitchen/entry to the garage before Christmas this past year for two reasons which made a lot of sense:

1. Our guest room would now move upstairs over the garage to a large space where our family would be much more comfortable (I will share that space this week too).

2. Because his office was so removed from the rest of our main living space he hardly went up there. Now he's finding due to it's convenient location, he pops in his office easily to work. Plus when he gets up before the rest of the Brew Crew in the morning, he has a quiet space to work away from us sleepy heads.

Bonus: We put a family computer in his office too that the kids can play on (code: we can keep an eye on them and monitor their electronic time).

Double Bonus: Now's the dog's cage/food and water bowls have a home away from sight.

Here's husband's newly relocated home office:

He recently painted the room from a brown to a warm gray. He got the large map as a Father's day gift. You might remember the blue striped curtains from my home office (I painted the blue stripes on old white curtains).

Here's our entrance to the garage that husband recently redid and reorganized. Usually it holds the kids' backpacks for school. I just wrote the July schedule on it this morning. Happy Summer Y'all!

One last peek at husband's home office.....

Happy decorating and living,

  2. Thanks Beesmama! I need to check with my husband on the gray paint. We actually bought it for our family room but found it was too dark and ended up going with a lighter blue/gray in the family room. We decided not to waste the gray paint and use it in my husband's office. I'll find out for her and let you know. I love the dog prints too! First I bought him the black lab and then as a hint that I want a yellow lab I bought the yellow and black lab one together. I think our 11 year old black lab wants a friend! Don't you?
    Take care.
