Operation Desert Bloom

Hi friends,
My husband and I have been away the last week in California:
  • Celebrating our 6th Wedding Anniversary in Sonoma, CA
  • Celebrating my good high school and college friend, Kristi Berg's wedding in Tiburon, CA
  • Visiting with my brother and his wife in Mountain View, CA
We left our sweet rascals (Bryce- 5 years old and Brayden- 3 years old) in the loving care of my parents in Fairfax, VA. So needless to say, as I'm sure you're imagining, we had a lovely, wonderful week.

Highlights of our trip:

Gorgeous bride, Kristi Berg.

My beautiful sister in law, Noriko.

Sister and brother.

Tiburon where the Blue Angels were performing.

My brother, Richard, and his wife, Noriko.

Okay, enough of that, on to Operation Desert Bloom......

My brother and his wife bought a new home last winter that has an awesome patio which they haven't given a lot of attention to. My husband and I decided to secretly clean the patio, prune the plants, and purchase new plants/ flowers/ herbs. We had a great time planning it out and carrying out the execution of our operative covert plan.

Back to real life.
Happy decorating & living,
Megan

  1. Hi Megan:

Great to see your pictures of your California getaway. Looked like you had a great time and you both looked great in the wedding pictures. Isn't it nice to get away from the kiddos once in a while? Kind of reboots you and you come back with happiness to continue parenting. Bravo to the two of you for taking the TIME!!!!! So very important.

Once again......another brilliant makeover. This time I loved the outdoorsy stuff you accomplished. I bet they were thrilled with the before and after. You have such a knack for decorating and we appreciate your taking it on, and sharing with us. Love it when we see your new posts. So genuine, fresh, entertaining, and "spot on" with great ideas.

Have a great weekend. We are heading north to see the leaves turning colors. Heading towards MT. WASHINGTON . Then off to NY next weekend to visit my daughter.

Reading a GREAT, I mean GREAT book. The Paris Wife by Paula McLain. You will love it. I hate to finish it.

FYI....you looked so cute in your outfit you wore for the wedding. Loved the dress.

Off to buy a few things to cook Sausage /Lentil soup for the weekend.

    B.
